Horizon is thrilled to have the support of multiple Paralympic world champion medal-winner Aileen Neilson.
I am delighted to be Horizon's ambassador, and working with them to promote inclusive housing. We face many challenges finding suitable accommodation for wheelchair users and it was always great to come home to a house that fully met my needs. Horizon is working hard to provide and promote accessible, quality homes for those of all abilities allowing them to have a good quality of life and barrier-free properties.
A Paralympic curling champion, Aileen Neilson was part of the Team GB wheelchair curling team and 2010, 2014 and 2018 Paralympic Games. She also gained two silver and two bronze medals at the World Wheelchair Curling Championships. As the first female to skip at a Worlds and Paralympics, she was part of the team who won a bronze medal in the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi. Still actively involved as a coach, tutor, and commentator, Aileen was one of the comperes at the 2018 Beijing Winter Paralympics.
