We factor properties for owners within some of our developments.
We work to ensure that these properties are maintained to a high standard by developing a flexible high quality and cost efficient service.
Our services include:
- Coordinating and carrying out work on owners behalf.
- Administration of common repairs/maintenance, buildings insurance (where applicable) and estate maintenance.
- Ensuring that the property is properly maintained and insured (where applicable).
We are registered as a Property Factor (Registration Number PF000385) on the Scottish Property Factor Register.
As part of the Code of Conduct we must adhere to, we will issue a Statement of Services to all owners. This will detail the service we provide, how this is to be paid for, and details of all the costs associated with our service as a factor.
Some factored owners, and all sharing owners, are obliged, in terms of their deeds of conditions to take the buildings insurance that Horizon arranges. Our buildings insurance is currently provided by Avid. A summary of the cover is attached. We will write to all owners covered by this policy by the end of July each year with up to date details of their personal cover, premium and reinstatement cost.
