First Residents Improvement Group Scrutiny Report
Horizon's Residents Improvement Group (RIG) completes its first inspection report into our repairs service.
In 2016, we identified the need to develop our customer scrutiny activities and our approach to 'tenant-led inspection' to help us review our housing services.
To help us do this we formed our first Residents Improvement Group (RIG) which would independently assess and produce reports on how well we are performing.
Earlier this year, the group began carrying out a tenant-led inspection of our repairs service – focusing specifically on how we communicate with our tenants.

The first inspection report laid out the findings and recommendations for service improvement and was presented to the Board by the group on the 15 June 2017.
Following the recommendations made in the formal report a Repairs Communication Action Plan was developed.
